Logo design

A distinctive logo is the face of a research lab, a scientific society, or a long-running project — and when it's designed by someone inside the field, it can capture the science itself. My logo work focuses on research groups, scientific societies, and science-communication brands. Each mark is built to be simple, memorable, and meaningful at the level of detail the science demands.

After studying with graphic designer Paula Scher, I approach logo design the same way I approach a figure: strip the idea to its essential elements, find the form that carries the meaning, then refine until every curve does a job.
